what do you clap your hands for?

(Friday, September 21, 2007 )

this is one post that i've always wanted to share but i keep forgeting by the time i reach th computer.
When you go to church, and start singing praises, what is the first thing that happens? Everyone will clap to the beat of the song.
When a person gives a wonderful speech, or has said or done something significant, we'll applaud right? and if what the person said or do is so great, some will stand up and appluad right? Why? That's because we want to show the person that we enjoyed or appreciated what he or she has siad or done. The same goes to God.
When we applaud during praise, are you clapping because everyone is clapping? No. We should clap because we want to give God thanks for what he has done for us, a form of way of showing our appreciation for God. Well, this is a message that dawned on me. i may be wrong, but at least, i hope the next time when you start to sing his praises, you try asking yourself, what are you clapping for? And let God answer that question for you.
